Designed to enhance understanding and awareness of the history of sport, our programmes impart knowledge through fun games and recreational activities.
Guided school visits, available in both English and Arabic, include a tour of all the seven galleries in the museum. Visits can be tailored to schools’ needs, based on specific subjects or desired learning outcomes.
Tours are available during the academic year on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 and 11am. Advance booking is required.
Our programmes offer educational and sports activities from pre-K to grade 12 for all Qatar-based government and international schools. They are in line with the standards of the physical education curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Our teachers' meetings are an opportunity to network and learn about the museum’s activities and programmes. They offer a space for educators and museum guides to work together for creative teaching and learning. All teachers are welcome to join us to exchange teaching approaches and strategies, and to develop curricula together.
We develop educational programmes in cooperation with local and international universities in order to raise university students’ awareness of Olympic and sports culture.
In addition to school programmes, we offer family-focused activities that encourage participants to learn about different sports through age-appropriate physical, cultural and art events.
